This pocketbook describes how to estimate for agile projects. DSDM is chosen as the base approach as it provides a framework for a full project lifecycle, and so illustrates how estimating is done throughout the life of the project. DSDM shares the common agile values, and strongly influenced the development of the Agile Manifesto and the definition of agile in 2001.
For those unfamiliar with DSDM, information is available on the Agile Business Consortium website and summarised in the Agile Project Framework pocketbook. Although based on DSDM, the information contained in this Estimating pocketbook can be applied to any of the other agile approaches such as Scrum.
